Royal LePage brokers, owners and managers from the west coast gathered at Painter’s Lodge in Campbell River, British Columbia, for their fourth annual salmon derby, held in support of the company’s charity, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.
Ian Mackay, managing broker at Royal LePage Parksville-Qualicum Beach Realty, had the winning catch, bringing in a 32-pound salmon.
“We had a spectacular event and are proud to have raised $3,000 for a very important cause,” said Jim Morris, event organizer and Royal LePage manager of network development in Western Canada. “Everyone is already looking forward to next year’s derby, scheduled for August 17-19.”
The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and domestic violence prevention and education programs. Since 1998, more than $22 million has been raised though the generosity of Royal LePage professionals from coast to coast.
