On Thursday August 20, 2015, Carol Ann Wesselius, President of the Thunder Bay Real Estate Board and Vince Mirabelli, Director and Chair of the Golf Committee, presented a donation of just over $6,100.00 to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
These funds were raised at the Board’s annual charity golf tournament and granted on behalf of the members of the Thunder Bay Real Estate Board.
The Canadian Diabetes Association is planning to use the funds for their summer camp program for Children with type 1 diabetes. The focus of the camp is to provide children living with type 1 diabetes opportunities to enjoy an authentic camp experience while having all of their diabetic needs monitored by a dedicated team of trained medical professionals.
