Royal LePage Wolstencroft recently presented a cheque for $7,807.50 to Ishtar Transition House Society via the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. These funds were a combination of their team’s in-house fundraising over 2014, including their charity golf tournament, 50/50 draws, and agents donating a portion of their commission, as well as the $500 cash award received from the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board due to the office’s “Good Neighbour Award” win.
Ishtar Transition House Society was the first transition house in North America and has operated in the Central Fraser Valley since 1973. Today, they provide a wide array of services to assist women and families who have suffered from violence. They are committed to preventing, breaking and ending the cycle of abuse.
