Carl Oake, owner of CENTURY 21 United Realty Inc., was announced one of 12 inductees at the Pathway of Fame ceremony, held on September 13 at the Showplace Performance Centre in Peterborough, ON.
Over 28 years, his annual Swimathons have raised almost $1 million supporting Easter Seals and the Peterborough Rotary Club. Carl is also involved in an annual Christmas toy drive, and has served positions in the Peterborough Real Estate Board, YMCA, and the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce.
Carl has received many awards outlining his contribution to the community, such as the Easter Seals Helping Hands Award, and Peterborough Citizen of the Year.
Pathway of Fame receives nominations from the general public, and honours those in the community who have made outstanding contributions in the past and present.
