Under the PITCH-IN CANADA WEEK, dedicated members of the Young Professionals Network of the Association of Saskatchewan REALTORS®, together with long time local REALTORS®, pitched in to clean up Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Park on McAra Street and 18th Avenue in Regina. This generous gesture is sure to be appreciated by local residents and teams who use this park for minor sports, recreation, and summer events.
PITCH-IN CANADA WEEK originated in 1967 when a group of citizens decided to hold a week-long event in Victoria, BC. There was concern over increasing litter in the area so local residents gathered together to clean up the shoreline. Since then, PITCH-IN CANADA has grown to over 500,000 volunteers across the country. This year, the Association of Saskatchewan REALTORS® Young Professionals Network registered with PITCH-IN CANADA to support the nation wide event and show commitment to their community by pitching in at home.
“We are always very impressed by new members in the real estate community and the passion they bring to their communities,” explains ASR CEO Bill Madder. “These are individuals that not only care about the success of their business but the success of their community… and us older guys are already looking up to them!”
Congratulations to all who were able to participate in the community clean-up led by the active and charitable Young Professionals. The donation of their time and energy is an outstanding example of how much REALTORS® really care about their communities.
