Since it was granted registered charitable status in 2007, the Manitoba Real Estate Association Shelter Foundation has improved daily life for many of our fellow citizens. Over $450,000 has been raised since inception, and in late 2013 the Foundation granted $49.067.50 to eight Manitoban shelter-related charities; Siloam Mission, Alpha House Inc., Habitat for Humanity® Winnipeg, House of Hesed (Manitoba) Inc, Esther House Inc., Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba, New Directions for Children, Youth, Adults and Families, and the Salvation Army Booth Centre.

Manitoba REALTORS® recognize that shelter is a vital component of our communities and understand that structured fundraising and philanthropy are beneficial to community development. Therefore, the Manitoba Real Estate Association Shelter Foundation Inc. was created to support Manitoba charities that are devoted to shelter-related causes.
