From November 1 – 20, 2013, members of the Kawartha Lakes Real Estate Association collected donations and non-perishable food items for their annual REALTOR® Food Drive.
Thanks to the hard work and generosity of the community and participating REALTORS® and volunteers, over 800 items and $2,000 were donated to the Kawartha Lakes Food Source, with additional donations collected for Bobcaygeon Helps.
The Kawartha Lakes Food Source is a community effort to reduce hunger by maintaining a central warehouse to supply food to 14 food banks throughout Kawartha Lakes. Bobcaygeon Helps is a non-profit corporation focused on operating the Bobcaygeon Food Bank, providing a year round emergency Food Bank facility for families and individuals in need in the Bobcaygeon area.
