Shari Fulmer (pictured right), Broker at Century 21 First Canadian Corp., presented a cheque for $20,092.74 to Donna Atkinson-Wilson (pictured left), founder of Keeping Kids Warm – Helping Our Homeless Teens, One Stitch At a Time, on behalf of the organizing committee of “The Mitten Ball.” The funds raised will help Keeping Kids Warm continue to provide basic hygiene items and hand knit winter woollies to our local homeless teens.
“The Mitten Ball,” a fundraiser event, was held in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Keeping Kids Warm, on March 9, 2013, at The Marconi Club in London, Ontario. It featured a rock concert headlined by recording artist Sarah Smith, with special guest Bender, as well as a professional charity auction facilitated by Storey Auctions.
Shari and the rest of the organizing committee would like to thank all 300 guests that attended, as well as the many volunteers, suppliers, sponsors, and businesses who donated their time, expertise, and merchandise to make this event so successful.
