RE/MAX Professionals Saint John Inc.’s third annual fundraising auction was a resounding success, raising over $18,500 for the IWK Children’s Hospital.
Approximately 160 people attended the event, which was organized by a group of RE/MAX salespeople and staff volunteers. The evening included dinner and live and silent auctions. Almost 200 items were auctioned off, including tickets to a Toronto Maple Leafs game, a Baby Barn Playhouse valued at $2,000, and website design services.
“We are grateful for the overwhelming generosity of local residents and businesses,” said Gordon Breau, Broker-Owner of RE/MAX Professionals Saint John Inc. “We are proud to support the families in our community. All kids deserve a chance at a healthy, happy childhood and a promising future.”
RE/MAX Professionals Saint John Inc. is dedicated to the RE/MAX Miracle Home Program, where a percentage of each sale is donated to the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital or Foundation. RE/MAX Professionals Saint John is one of top contributing offices in Atlantic Canada, supporting the IWK Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Miracle Network. “They step up to the plate time and time again, donating countless hours and funds,” said Christine Martysiewicz, Director of Public Relations, RE/MAX Ontario-Atlantic Canada. “We applaud their efforts.”
The money raised will go towards supporting paediatric care at the IWK Children’s Hospital, a tradition Breau says his team plans to continue. “Plans are already in the works for 2012, and we hope to do even better next year.”
