On June 19, 2009, the Peterborough and the Kawarthas Association of REALTORS® Inc. presented a cheque for $15,943.13 to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. The funds donated by PKAR will be used to purchase four defibrillators that will be placed throughout Peterborough County. PKAR Members raised the funds at the Annual Silent Auction, Charity Golf Tournament and some smaller fundraisers that were held throughout the year.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s “Restart a Heart, Restart a Life” program places Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in public places across Ontario.
