The REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB) raised over $19,500 in their tenth annual charity golf tournament, thanks to overwhelming community support.
The tournament itself was hotly contested – after all, raising money inevitably spurs spirited competition – but off the links participants were more interested in collecting as many pledges as possible.
The money raised is being donated to the Home Ownership Affordability Partnership (HOAP) and the Karan Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund. HOAP is a unique affordable housing program within the community, and the scholarship fund provides selected children and grandchildren of RAHB members and staff with funding for continuing education.
“The golf tournament provides participants more than just a round of golf,” said Ann Cosens, Chairman, RAHB Annual Charity Golf Tournament. “They also have an opportunity to win great prizes, network with other real estate industry professionals, and most of all, raise money for, and awareness of these two worthwhile causes.”
