The Quinte and District Real Estate Board hosted its annual golf tournament at Oak Hills Golf Club in June. A total of 144 golfers turned out for the event, and many additional members came out for dinner.
The big winner was the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity Canada. The event raised well over $5,000 for the organization.
“It was wonderful weather, great fun and food, and hopefully a record-breaking donation day for our local Habitat for Humanity,” said Elaine O’Hara, Executive Officer of the Quinte and District Real Estate Board.
The Board sends out a special thank you to Programme Chairperson Tiffany Spearing who spent many hours organizing the event, collecting prizes and hole sponsorships, transporting gifts to the tournament site and in general making sure everything ran smoothly. Her hard working committee members include Debra O’Brien Darling, Barb Hieb, Joanne Hormann, Rachel Cane, Mia McQuaid, Ron Norton, and Ted Surridge.
