In an interesting role reversal, REALTORS® from North Group Real Estate Ltd. recently traded in their blazers and paperwork for hammers and hardhats. On March 7, 2019, the team from North Group came together in Brampton, Ontario, to help Habitat GTA build a home from the ground up for a deserving family.
“We are absolutely blessed to be here to help a family move into their new home. We are doing some construction by building walls and insulating,” said Drew MacIntosh, Barrie/Orillia Partner of North Group.
In 2018, North Group became the first Canadian partner of Giveback Homes, “a community of real estate professionals who are committed to creating social change by helping build homes for deserving families around the globe.” Since then, the company has been raising funds and donating a portion of every real estate transaction towards their first local home building initiative.
“At North Group Real Estate, part of our culture code is to always choose generosity and a big part of that is collaborating our efforts with a charity… we couldn’t be more honoured to be partnered with Giveback Homes,” saids Amy Youngren, the Founder of North Group.
North Group Real Estate and Giveback Homes plan to continue their relationship and create more local build days in support of their local Habitat for Humanity chapter.
