The REALTORS® Community Foundation Edmonton and Area’s Volunteer of Distinction Award is presented to a REALTOR® who has gone above and beyond expectations and proven to be a tireless, hardworking supporter and promoter of the Foundation giving of their time, their talent, and their heart. The 2015 Award was dedicated to Bessie Goldstick, who passed away in April 2014 at the age of 97.
Bessie and her family moved to Edmonton in 1967, and she became very active in community work. She worked as a REALTOR® and devoted many years to raising funds for the REALTORS® Community Foundation. She was involved with many organizations in her community, including the Edmonton Host Lions and the Rotary Club. She enjoyed serving lunch at the Bissell Centre and Sacred Heart Church.
The REALTORS® Community Foundation Edmonton and Area is the charitable arm of the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton. Its mission is to provide support to those in need by working directly with charities involved in shelter, homelessness, hunger, crime prevention, and special projects.
