REALTOR® Dale Devereaux of CENTURY 21 Advantage has been inducted into the CENTURY 21® Dick Loughlin International Hall of Fame. This elite award recognizes CENTURY 21 System members who not only achieve impressive sales production but, more importantly, who go above and beyond in their community. He was honoured onstage in front of thousands of peers at the recent CENTURY 21 Global Conference in Washington, D.C. Devereaux is the fourth Canadian to receive this international award.
“Dale has not only become the go-to expert in his market but has also lead positive change for families there,” said Brian Rushton, executive vice president, CENTURY 21 Canada. “Real estate success comes from building relationships and being a major part of your community. This honour is well deserved, congratulations!”
Devereaux, his customers, and friends, help feed his community food bank by donating a turkey for every house he has sold for the last 17 years! In total, they’ve helped feed over 17,556 people during the holidays and Devereaux has become the Red Deer Food Bank’s single largest donor. He also found the land to build the local Ronald McDonald House and was on the board that fundraised more than $12 million for the foundation. He has hosted many dinners in this home that have been auctioned off for the benefit of the Ronald McDonald House, the Ron Maclean Foundation, and the Red Deer Hospice. Devereaux is one of the founding members of the Red Deer Optimist Club, a service organization that is dedicated to providing service to youth and the community. Through his 20 years with the club, he has served as Chairman of the Bingo Fundraiser Committee, created the yearly Ladies Gala Fundraiser, launched the 24 hour Relay for Youth, and was involved in the creation of the Just Say “NO” program. He also contributes to the club’s youth scholarships and summer sports.
“It was a huge surprise, I actually didn’t have a clue. They were talking about the person who was to receive the award and I realized they were talking about me! When I stood up and turned around there was mom, dad, and one daughter. I never cry, but I did. Needless to say it was a short speech,” said Devereaux. “To win this award is such a highlight in my career. To be chosen out of over 100,000 agents in over 78 countries – wow is all I could say!”
