Royal LePage offices across Canada once again transformed into a paradise for treasure hunters at the National Garage Sale for Shelter, held annually on the Saturday of the Mother’s Day weekend.
More than $240,000 was raised at 100 garage sale locations in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. The charity is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs.
The event also generated awareness of local services available for women and children seeking safety from domestic violence and hope for new beginnings.
“We can’t thank our Garage Sale organizers enough for their time, generosity and enthusiasm,” said Shanan Spencer-Brown, Executive Director of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. “We continue to be amazed by the support of Royal LePagers, both personally and in leveraging their clients and communities to get involved. What they accomplish together is inspiring and makes a critical difference for shelters operating across Canada.”
