Calgary and area REALTORS® celebrated the 25th anniversary of the CREB® Charitable Foundation by distributing $625,000 to 25 non-profit organizations, with each group receiving a $25,000 grant.
Recipients included the Agapé Hospice, ALS Society, Awo Taan Healing Lodge, Between Friends, Calgary Dream Centre, Calgary Family Services, Calgary Humane Society, Canadian Mental Health Association, Children’s Cottage, Cochrane Society for Housing Options, Foothills SNAPS, Fresh Start, Prostate Cancer Canada Network, Ronald McDonald House, Rundle College, Salvation Army, Servants Anonymous, Shamrock Children’s Christmas Fund, Unlocking potential, Victory Foundation, Wellspring Calgary, YMCA Calgary, and YWCA Banff.
“CREB® REALTORS® are dedicated to improving their communities, through the CREB® Charitable Foundation, their brokerages, and their own individual efforts,” said Tom Scott, president of the CREB® Charitable Foundation. “The 2012 member-directed granting program allowed our members to direct funding to the charities and nonprofit organizations they are passionate about, and we look forward to continuing this program in 2013.”
