The Real Estate Company Limited in Calgary, Alberta, held its fifth annual golf tournament this summer. This year, they decided to take this opportunity to raise money for a local charity.
After a lot of research, their brokerage decided to team up with the Unlocking Potential Foundation – a local charity whose Never Too Late program helps young adults who never completed high school obtain their GED. Based upon a belief that education offers a way out of poverty, the program provides academic, social, and emotional support at no cost to these young adults.
A day of perfect weather on the links was complemented by a delicious buffet dinner and silent auction. Glenn, currently a student in the Never Too Late program, told his story about what this program has meant for him and his family. As a result of this year’s tournament, The Real Estate Company was able to donate over $10,000 to this well-deserved organization, which will allow many students to achieve their education goals.
