On March 9, 2012, CREB® Charitable Foundation contributed $25,000 to the YWCA of Banff to support the Bow Valley Women’s Shelter Program as part of its 25 for 25 program.
The CREB® Charitable Foundation 25 for 25 program was created as part of the 25th Anniversary celebration of the CREB® Charitable Foundation. CREB® Charitable Foundation, created by Calgary and area REALTORS®, empowers local charities and non-profit organizations committed to shelter and community enhancement initiatives. Grants will be given out for projects that fall in to the categories of Vulnerable Populations, Shelter, and Community Health and Enhancement.
Representatives from the YWCA of Banff, CREB® Charitable Foundation, REALTORS® from the Bow Valley Corridor as well as members of Bow Valley Victims Services and local dignitaries were in attendance of the cheque presentation.
“The support from Calgary and area REALTORS®, via the CREB® Charitable Foundation, will help us achieve our ultimate objective for the Bow Valley Women’s Shelter Program, which is being able to provide non-restricted access to all women in the Bow Valley region who are in need of a safe place to stay due to family violence,” said Kathryn Williams, Director of Programs & Community Support for the YWCA of Banff.
