For tens of thousands of people across North America who suffer from interstitial cystitis (I.C.), the luxury of feeling “great” is but a distant memory. I.C., often referred to as “Painful Bladder Syndrome,” is a relentless adversary, inflicting its victims with excruciating pain, and all of the social awkwardness that come with urinary urgency.
Brian Selby, member of the Chilliwack & District Real Estate Board is taking a ride across Canada… on a motorcycle… in the middle of winter to raise awareness of interstitial cystitis and donations to help find a cure for this little understood, under recognized and often misdiagnosed disease that can inflict otherwise healthy individuals.
In a true Canadian experience, Brian will travel almost 8,000km from West to East through the harsh winter elements. His mission? To get your attention and support for those suffering from interstitial cystitis. And for any fellow “Road Warriors” out there, Brain welcomes any tips you might have to help him survive his winter marathon ride.
You can learn and see more about Brian’s remarkable expedition at www.ridingforacure.net including a photo gallery, route map, how to donate and useful links for information about interstitial cystitis.
Ride on Brian!
