Each year, CENTURY 21 Canada holds a mouthwatering, not to mention hand and heartwarming, fundraising initiative.
The real estate company recognizes National Hot Cocoa Day annually by raising money for the Easter Seals’ Kids to Camp program. This year, through a partnership with Real Estate Webmasters, a total of $21,000 was collected in hopes of sending one child living with a disability in each province to a specialized camp.
“We were introduced to Easter Seals program through our partners at CENTURY 21 Canada. It’s a phenomenal program, the money stays local,” said Morgan Carey, founder of Real Estate Webmasters. “We met some of their ambassadors and it’s in line with how we think about charity. All of our charity giving is to do with families and children.”
Easter Seals B.C. and Yukon President Charlene Krepiakevich said the money will be appreciated by children across the country. “Every summer, thousands of kids across Canada take part in these camps and they look forward to them months in advance. They are inspired and empowered and gain confidence so that when they get back into the community they are more confident. This donation truly makes a difference in the lives of these kids.”
CENTURY 21 Canada has supported Easter Seals since 1979 and has raised more than $117 million for the charitable organization over the years.
“It’s such an important cause because it’s all about the local kids,” said Brian Rushton, Executive Vice-President of CENTURY 21 Canada.
