Parksville Qualicum REALTORS® donated $500 to the Parkville Lions Club Sunday, March 3 to help fund its successful Family Skate Program. The money will be used to purchase new skate aides for beginners (the red and blue items) to the sport like the trio illustrated in the accompanying photograph.
Taking part in the presentation were (left to right) Don Gamble, Chair of the Family Skate Program, REALTOR® Margo Hoffman, Gail Vuillamy, Lions 1st Vice President and Lions President (and REALTOR®) Jim Hoffman. The presentation was made at Oceanside Place (the Victor Kraatz arena) in Parksville.
Money for the donation came from the local REALTORS Care® Fund. Started in 2010, the popular Family Skate Program has seen its attendance numbers grow each year since its inception.
