Bright Nights in Stanley Park is a festive Vancouver tradition that includes live entertainment, the Parade of Trees, displays and Santa. Helping to transform Stanley Park requires the efforts of countless volunteers. Once again, those volunteers included representatives from Sutton Group – West Coast Realty.
Bright Nights, which opened on November 27, 2014, is one of key fundraisers for the B.C. Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund. Partial proceeds of train ticket sales and all donations at the gate go to support Burn Fund programs, such as treatment for burn victims at the BC Children’s Hospital and the Vancouver General Hospital, prevention education for schoolchildren and a summer camp for young burn survivors. Sutton Group – West Coast Realty is a frequent and major contributor to the Burn Fund.
Representatives from the Coquitlam and Vancouver offices were pleased to donate their time to this cause. Susan Dailly, Anca Ardelean and Rosa Rezansoff joined firefighters on a recent afternoon to hang lights, paint gingerbread men and decorate the train.
“Helping out the Bright Nights is a fabulous experience,” says Susan. “It’s always fun to get together with the girls from the office to be creative with beautiful lights and displays. It gives us that great feeling of Christmas, giving back to the community and, of course, helping the firefighters. The organizers really make volunteers feel appreciated with a hot White Spot lunch and a free pre-opening presentation.”
Bright Nights in Stanley Park runs from November 27, 2014 to January 4, 2015.
