Royal LePage In the Comox Valley hosted its popular ‘Petite Fondo’ event, in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation on September 11. Over $11,000 was raised, 100 percent of which will be donated to local women’s shelter, Lilli House.
Stylized on the Grand European cycling events, The Royal LePage Petite Fondo is not a race, but rather, a relaxing day of cycling through the Valley’s picturesque countryside. Riders stop to sample wines and cheeses at wineries along the route and are entertained by local musicians. Participants completed the ride at the Royal LePage office for a BBQ and leisurely afternoon with fellow riders.
“The event is completely funded by our generous sponsors, friends, and families, so every penny raised goes toward helping families escape domestic violence,” said organizers and Royal LePage sales associates Rob Nygren and Lisa Zuk. “At Royal LePage we believe in building a healthy community by starting at home.”
