You never know what you’re going to get when hosting your first fundraising event. That’s why the REALTORS® behind the first ever Royal LePage Dynamic Real Estate charity golf tournament were thrilled to be able to raise $5,500 in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.
Fifty golfers drove, chipped and putted their day away at the Kingswood Golf Club in La Salle, Manitoba on a hot, summer day in July. All funds raised were directed to local women’s shelter, Willow Place, which provides services and support to women and their children who have experienced family violence.
“It was a sweltering day, but we all persevered and had a lot of fun and fellowship,” said tournament organizer Doug Bowes.
“The support of committee members Jocelyn Nicholas, Jodi Walls, Alix McIntyre and Becky Parkes, and of course the generosity of the sponsors and golfers made it all possible. We’re very happy to be able to present this money to Willow Place.”
