The Freis Guys of RE/MAX executives realty in Winnipeg, Manitoba, held their annual food and fundraiser, Race Amazing Winnipeg, on September 19, 2015. A total of 22 teams gathered bright and early and journeyed through the city, completing tasks along the way.
With the help from their friends at Red River Co-op, they were able to raise 618 pounds of food and $527 in cash donations—more than double the volume of food from last year’s event.
Winnipeg Harvest is a non-profit, community-based organization that is a food distribution & training centre. Their goals are to collect and share surplus food with people who are hungry, to offer training opportunities to help people step up and out of poverty, and ultimately eliminate the need for food banks in their community.
