For the fifth year in a row, the REALTORS® of the Greater Moncton area held their Annual REALTORS Care® Golf Tournament in support of the Breakfast for Learning program in the region. Over $11,000 was raised on this day.
“Although the weather was a little torrential, we had a great turnout of 25 teams. One of the highlights of our event was the auctioning off of an official Wayne Gretzky signed Oilers Jersey that went for $800,” shares Peter Dickson, President of Greater Moncton REALTORS® du Grand Moncton.
Annually, the REALTORS® in the Greater Moncton area have supported the Breakfast for Learning program for School District 1 & 2 with this golf tournament and their Dragon Boat team. Breakfast for Learning is the leading national non-profit organization solely dedicated to child nutrition programs in Canada. Facts show that when a child is well-nourished, they perform better in school and this program works to ensure that students receive the healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks they need to succeed.
“The local REALTORS® are committed to ensuring children have the best opportunity to learn and a good breakfast is key to achieving this goal. We are proud to support such an important cause,” explains Peter. “It is very important that we recognize the support our members and the community give our REALTORS Care® initiatives, without them we would never achieve this level of success. I also would like to recognize our dedicated volunteer base who ensured our Golf Tournament was a big success once again this year.”
