For the second year in a row, RE/MAX Professionals Saint John has been named the top contributing office in Atlantic Canada for its fundraising support of the Children’s Miracle Network.
The RE/MAX Professionals Saint John team raised over $42,000 for the charity last year, bringing the amount it has raised for the charity over the past two years to over $87,000.
The funds raised were largely generated by the RE/MAX Miracle Home Program, which allows salespeople to donate a portion of the commission from each sale to the Children’s Miracle Network. The company raised additional funds through its annual dinner and live auction.
“I feel fortunate to have such caring salespeople on my team,” said RE/MAX Manager Gordon Breau. “Their hard work and generosity is what makes our fundraising events so successful.”
The Children’s Miracle Network is an international organization that raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals, 14 of which are in Canada. The funds are distributed to the participating hospitals in the communities where they are raised and are used to provide care and improve the lives of sick children.
Monies donated by RE/MAX Saint John go to support the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. For over 100 years the IWK has been providing critical care to children and families throughout the Maritime Provinces.
“Supporting the IWK Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Miracle Network continues to be a top priority for our office,” says Mr. Breau. “We are incredibly proud to have this chance to help such a worthwhile cause.”
