Royal LePage Lakes of Muskoka Realty in Bracebridge, Ont., recently hosted their fourth annual Booster Night in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.
Nearly 150 people attended this year’s function, held at the local Boston Pizza, for a prix fixe dinner, dessert mixer and silent auction.
A total of $4,525 was raised for the Muskoka Women’s Advocacy Group, which supports Interval House in Bracebridge and Chrysalis House in Huntsville.
The Muskoka Women’s Advocacy Group (MWAG) is a volunteer-run, charitable organization based in Muskoka, Ont. More than 30 years ago, a grassroots effort took place to combat violence against women and help make the community safer. As a result, MWAG was founded and the important work that was started in 1984 continues today.
Since 1984, MWAG has been assisting women and children in a variety of ways, from opening Muskoka Interval House in 1985, Chrysalis in 2007, providing community education programs and around-the-clock crisis support services.
