Royal LePage Burloak Real Estate Services was recently named the recipient of this year’s Margie Livingstone/Spyrou Charity Golf Tournament Recognition Award for demonstrating a spirit of community in philanthropy and supporting a local hospice for the past 15 years.

The Burlington, Ontario brokerage has given more than $150,000 to Carpenter Hospice over the past 10 years and agents have been corporate sponsors to charity events, including the yearly gala.

A year-round commitment to helping their local community is central to Royal LePage Burloak Real Estate Services’ philosophy.

The brokerage recently presented cheques totaling $31,000 to two local organizations: Halton Women’s Place, via the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, and the Carpenter Hospice. Funds were raised through events such as their annual charity golf tournament, Halloween Chili Bowl, and sales representatives’ commission-based donations.

“Giving back to the community is a core value shared by everyone in our brokerage and something that we will continue to do with every coming year,” says JoAnn Landry, broker and president.

“I’m proud to work with such a caring and giving team and can’t thank them enough for their support of our fundraising initiatives each and every year.”
