The Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation was on-site at REALTOR QUEST® conference in Toronto, Ontario, May 6–7, 2015, asking REALTORS® to nominate their favourite registered charity for a chance to win a $1,000 donation.
REALTORS® from the GTA and beyond filled our ballot box to the brim, nominating causes close to their hearts. By the end of the trade show, a random draw was conducted.
The winner was Aptus Treatment Centre, the charity of choice of Shalini Bahadur of Royal LePage Terrequity Realty Brokerage in Thornhill, Ontario. Shalini was thrilled to hear the good news, as she is a longtime volunteer at Aptus and has a personal connection to the organization.
“This organization has been a part of my developmentally and physically challenged sister’s life for over 30 years and it is my privilege to volunteer for them and give back,” Shalini explains.
Following the event, Aptus Treatment Centre received a $1,000 cheque, courtesy of the Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation.
Aptus Treatment Centre, formerly MukiBaum Treatment Centres, proudly serves children and adults with complex disabilities through their adult day program, two children’s day programs (Toronto & York) and eight high support residential group homes throughout the GTA.
Congratulations to Shalini and her charity of choice. Thanks to all the REALTORS® who stopped by our booth to chat about how they give back to their communities.
