On September 29, 2011, nine brave REALTORS® and staff members from Century 21 First Canadian Corp. Brokerage rappelled off the tallest office building in London, Ontario, as part of the First Annual Easter Seals Drop Zone London. The team garnered the top spot for team fundraising for the event with $22,716 raised.
Vito Campanale, Broker of Record for the office commented, “I couldn’t be more proud of our team. I know that we have great people in our office, but the fact that they literally put themselves out there to raise so much money for such a great cause is humbling. I don’t think that I could rappel down a 26-storey building, so I’m happy that there are people in our organization that could and did.”
Century 21 First Canadian Corp. was also a corporate sponsor for the event, which raised a grand total of $154,000. These funds will help to ensure that children with physical disabilities and their families have access to the equipment and services they need to make the most of their abilities. The funds will also help to fund two specially equipped camps, one of which is Camp Woodeden, west of London. Plans are already underway for Drop Zone London 2012 and Century 21 First Canadian Corp. has already committed to being a part of next year’s event.
