Century 21 Green Realty Inc. hosted its second annual Easter Seals golf tournament in Caledon, Ontario, and raised more than $25,000 for Easter Seals Ontario. This exceeds their goal, and the $21,000 contribution to Easter Seals last year.
“The opportunities that Easter Seals provides to kids are truly life changing,” said Lakhvir Randhawa, owner of Century 21 Green Realty Inc. “One of the messages I continue to hear from participants is that they are inspired to see how these camps shape children’s lives. We plan to host this golf tournament every year and each year we want to increase our donations.”
The tournament was hosted on a beautiful sunny day in September at the Glen Eagle Golf Club in Caledon. The event featured 140 golfers during the day and 200 guests for dinner. The event came together thanks to volunteers, sponsors and community support. The energy and enthusiasm from last year’s event inspired the Mississauga community to become more involved this year.
Easter Seals’ camps give children living with physical disabilities the opportunity to have some fun and make lifelong friends. Since 1979, Century 21 Canada has raised more than $10.4 million in support of Easter Seals.
“It is great to see this golf tournament already becoming a success in the community,” said Dave Starrett, President and CEO of Easter Seals Canada. “We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the support and dedication of Century 21 offices across Canada.”
