For the daring REALTORS® at CENTURY 21 Miller Real Estate Ltd., there was nowhere to go but down.
Standing 32 storeys above the intersection of Yonge St. and Eglinton Ave. on top of the RioCan building, the small group of REALTORS® prepared to rappel down to one of Toronto’s busiest streets.
After all, they had earned the right to do so. The Oakville office raised more than $7,000 for Easter Seals, the real estate company’s national charity of choice, as part of the Easter Seals Drop Zone event. That donation brought the Century 21 Miller Real Estate office’s charitable giving total for 2016 over $25,000.
You couldn’t pay some people $1,500 to rappel down a 30-storey building, yet these brave souls had to raise that amount of money to take part in the “dizzying, knee-shaking, pulse-pounding” rappel, says Drop Zone Toronto’s Facebook page. Easter Seals Ontario provides programs and services to children and youth with physical disabilities to help them achieve greater independence, accessibility and integration.
Many CENTURY 21 Canada offices across the country took part in Drop Zone events in their cities. Last year, in total, the Easter Seals Drop Zone raised more than $1.5 million.
