It’s not a political statement and it’s not meant to spark debate. It’s a simple show of support for the men and women serving in Canada’s military. At the beginning of August 2007, the Durham Region Association of REALTORS® are proudly displaying commemorative yellow ribbon decals on their vehicles.
“The Durham Region Association of REALTORS® supports our Canadian Troops as they respond to military emergencies throughout the world,” said Lloyd Elliott DRAR President. “By applying the yellow ribbon decal to our vehicles we are showing our support for their courage and dedication during this action.”
The yellow ribbons can already be seen on police cruisers, Durham Region transit buses, works department trucks, fire trucks and emergency vehicles. The Durham Region Association of REALTORS®’ members are joining; the Regional Municipality of Durham, the Town of Ajax, the City of Pickering and the City of Oshawa in supporting our Canadian Troops by applying the decals.
