On Thursday, November 15, 2007, The REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington held their 19th annual charity auction. This year’s event was held to benefit AM-900 CHML and Y108’s Christmas Tree of Hope campaign.
“AM-900 CHML and Y108’s Christmas Tree of Hope campaign has been committed to helping needy children in Hamilton and Burlington for over 30 years,” said Stacy Adamson, Chair, RAHB Annual Charity Auction Task Force. “It’s this long term commitment to underprivileged children that encourages us to continue our partnership with the Children’s Fund.”
Guests had their chance to bid on a variety of items including; sunglasses, spa packages, holiday getaways and everything in between. There was a live and silent auction as well as live entertainment and an hors d’oeuvres buffet.
The money raised from the purchase of auction items went to assist in helping underprivileged children in over 30 Hamilton-Burlington area charities. In total, over $52,500 was raised at this annual Christmas charity auction. All proceeds will be donated to the AM-900 CHML/Y108 Christmas Tree of Hope campaign.
“The response from local REALTORS® and the community was overwhelming this year,” said Mike Cusano, RAHB President. “You can never underestimate the generosity of the people in the Hamilton/Burlington area when it comes to supporting children’s causes,” added Cusano.
