On Tuesday, June 19, 2012, the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) hit the green at the Conestoga Golf Club for their 19th annual charity golf tournament. Thanks to the 128 REALTORS® and sponsors who participated in the tournament, KWAR raised $22,000 for Reaching Our Outdoor Friends (ROOF).
ROOF is a local agency providing safety, support, and overall well-being for homeless youths and youths-at-risk, age 12-25, in the Waterloo region. The organization provides resources and services that will enable youth to make positive choices to end the cycle of homelessness.
“This year’s tournament was another big success,” said KWAR President Sara Hill. “I am very proud of the support our REALTOR® members continue to show the community through both their individual charitable works and support of fundraising activities such as our annual golf tournament.”
Since 1993, the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® has donated in excess of a million dollars to support local charities on behalf of its REALTOR® members.
