The winner of the London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) 2016 Christmas Kettle Challenge is… well, the entire community.
LSTAR and London firefighters engaged in some friendly competition, challenging each other to raise the most money for the Salvation Army’s Centre of Hope London. Together, the two associations raised more than $33,000 for Centre of Hope.
“We want to thank everyone who came out and supported the Kettle Drive,” said Stacey Evoy, LSTAR 2016 President. “Your generosity helped LSTAR to raise $22,600 during the challenge, which is a 49 percent increase from the 2015 Kettle Drive. About 100 REALTORS® turned out to volunteer, showing their passion for supporting and giving back to the communities we serve.”

LSTAR volunteered at about 40 kettle locations on Dec. 13, while London Firefighters volunteered at 12 kettle locations on Dec. 15, 2016. According to the Salvation Army, London firefighters raised more than $11,000.
“It shows what great things can happen when we collaborate with each other,” Evoy said. “We enjoyed turning up the heat through the challenge and applaud London firefighters for their incredible support and enthusiasm to help the Salvation Army and our entire community.”
