On September 18, 2011, LSTAR REALTOR® Stacey Evoy-Smith participated in the third annual Amazing London Race event and her team, comprised of herself and her partner Lauren Martin, was the fifth to finish the race.
Seventeen teams competed in this year’s race, conducted in the same format as the hit CBS TV show The Amazing Race. There were 17 tasks for teams to complete, which took them all over the city of London (and to Lucan). There were also pit stops, detours, and road blocks to be completed.
The $5,000 raised through the event will go to Mackayla’s Fight for Sight and the Children’s Health Foundation in support of Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre. 100% of the net proceeds from the event will be shared between these two great causes.
