On Wednesday, July 13, 2011, the Durham Region Association of REALTORS® (DRAR) hosted a BBQ lunch at Mackie Harley Davidson for the OREA REALTORS Care® Foundation Motorcycle Ride.
“The BBQ was a success and a lot of fun,” said Durham Region Association of REALTORS® President, Dierdre Mullen. “We were very happy to have Oshawa Mayor, John Henry and Oshawa MPP, Jerry Ouellette join us for lunch as well as many Durham REALTORS® who came to show their support.”
The Durham Region Association of REALTORS® is especially proud of three members who are participating in the ride travelling from Toronto to Ottawa over 3 days. “Keeley Ward, Vince Montagano, and Rafael Roberto are representing DRAR and we are very proud that they have decided to help raise money and awareness for this wonderful Foundation,” commented President Mullen.
The Ontario REALTORS Care
® Foundation raises money and awareness for local charities. In Durham Region, Oshawa and Bowmanville Hospitals have been recipients of grants in previous years. The annual motorcycle ride is an important part of the foundations fundraising initiatives with last year’s ride raising more than $40,000.
