Each year, approximately 2350 low-income clientele are assisted with meal boxes given out by the New Life Neighbourhood Centre Food Bank in Oshawa, Ontario. This Food Bank helps serve as an instrument to those who need with those who have and want to share. For the past four years, the staff and REALTORS® of Coldwell Bankers R.M.R Real Estate in Oshawa and Whitby have helped provide to this worthwhile community service.
Along with Andrew Brown of the Royal Bank of Canada, Coldwell Banker R.M.R staff and REALTORS® have committed to ensuring the children and families registered with New Life, celebrate Christmas with gifts and Christmas dinner.
Last year, with everyone’s help, gifts for over 100 children were purchased. All involved were also able to adopt 10 families for gifts and food, plus make a cash donation in excess of $3,300 to help purchase turkeys and other items for the food baskets. In total, there were over 150 families helped as a result of the generosity of others.
Even though the weather outside is sunny and bright, the staff and REALTORS® of Coldwell Banker R.M.R. are once again gearing up to lend their support to the New Life Neighbourhood Centre Food Bank for the upcoming Christmas season.
