With the hope of helping lower income families realize the dream of home ownership, the Home Ownership Affordability Partnership (HOAP) recently benefited from the hard work and generosity of the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington.
On June 19, at the Copetown Woods Golf Club, golfers teed off at the 12th Annual REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington Charity Golf Tournament. This tournament is in support both HOAP and the Karan Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund – providing selected children and grandchildren of RAHB with funding for continuing education. In total, $16,400 was raised. HOAP received a significant portion of the proceeds and the remaining portion went to support the Karan Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund.
“This tournament has traditionally been extremely successful in raising money for charity,” said this year’s chairman, Bill Kopac. “I continue to be overwhelmed by the level of support we receive through corporate sponsorship, donors, players and volunteers. REALTORS® and real estate related business associates continue to prove their generosity has no bounds.”
