Burlington REALTOR® Leslie Bullock has received that city’s Citizen of the Year award. Leslie, a salesperson with RE/MAX Garden City Realty Inc. and a member of the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington, was given the honor to recognize her extensive charitable work and leadership in the community.
“Leslie’s dedication and devotion to our community is truly remarkable,” said Burlington Mayor Cam Jackson. “She’s a born leader and loves to inspire people to do more for their community. She’s a worthy recipient who continues to build a better Burlington.”
A REALTOR® since 1997, Leslie has become a well-known and respected businessperson, both in the real estate industry and in the community at large. Over the past 10 years, she’s been a member of the Burlington Arts Centre Board of Directors, and sits on the Permanent Collection Committee. She was a founding member of Kids Count (Aldershot), Chairperson of the Burlington Smoking Bylaw Review Committee, and a member of both the Burlington Crime Prevention Committee and Burlington Family Counseling Services.
Leslie says she learned the importance of volunteering from her parents, Reg and Mary Bullock. Her father, Reg, had received the Burlington Citizen of the Year award in 2003 for his own volunteerism and charitable contributions.
