On March 6, 2014, Royal LePage Landco donated $11,825 to the “Building Hope Saving Lives” campaign for the creation of a new Women’s Place emergency shelter in St. Thomas. This brings Royal LePage Landco’s total donation to $25,000 in support of this great initiative.
The majority of the $25,000 was raised through commission donations, as REALTORS® at Royal LePage Landco chose to contribute with a portion of their commission after each home sale. The rest of the money was raised at their annual garage sale in May, as well as other events organized by individual team members in support of this goal.
Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charitable foundation. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated to exclusively funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs.
