During his career, Warriner played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Tampa Bay Lightning, Phoenix Coyotes, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, and Nashville Predators of the NHL. He also played for teams in Europe.

Funds raised in the London tournament support local charities including the Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre, Youth Opportunities Unlimited, and Unity Project for Relief of Homelessness in London.
HHTH is more than just a tournament, it is a catalyst for change. Following the Humboldt Broncos tragedy, HHTH responded with offers of assistance to the players and their families. According to their Facebook page, HHTH is also raising awareness of the unique challenges facing LGBT individuals. HHTH leadership has stated their intention to support charities that welcome homeless LGTB people.
The tournament is held in cities across Canada with Sutton members playing on many teams.
