At their Annual General Meeting in April, the Huron Perth Association of REALTORS® (HPAR) signed, sealed and delivered donations to two outstanding community organizations.
HPAR was the winner of last year’s REALTOR® Action Network (RAN) Recruitment for a Cause campaign, increasing their representation on RAN by over 3,000 per cent! Their commitment to strengthening our industry’s grassroots advocacy community netted them $1,000 to invest in a local initiative, charity or fundraising event of their choice in their community.
HPAR selected to split the $1,000 between the following local organizations:
Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre – who take in large quanities of food donated by local farmers and businesses to be redistributed to food banks and aid agencies in Huron and surrounding counties.
The Local Community Food Centre Stratford, a Division of the United Way Perth-Huron – who help increase access to healthy food for low-income Canadians, while also addressing the underlying issues of chronic hunger, poverty and poor health. The organization offers multifaceted, integrated and responsive programming where people can grow, cook, share and advocate for good food.
