It proved to be a damp day weather-wise on June 21, 2006, at The Windsor-Essex County Real Estate Board’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament, which was held at the beautiful Fox Glen Golf Club.
Although it was not perfect weather for golfing, 120 participants set off with a delayed 10:30 a.m. shot gun start only to be called in after a few holes. However, spirits were high and the featured activities were brought indoors for the golfers’ participation.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our major sponsors, who included Kaspardlov, Laverty And Associates, GE Security – Supra, Filogix Inc., Jerome Taylor Pontiac Buick GMC Inc., Provincial Chryslers Ltd., The Luck Allison Group – CIBC Wood Gundy and the Real Estate Advertiser.
This year’s charity tournament – called “Swing it for Charity” – raised over $8,000 benefiting the Children’s Safety Village ($4,600) and Windsor Residence for Young Men ($3,000) along with other various charities and local projects in the community. Special thanks go out to volunteers of the Children’s Safety Village and Windsor Residence for Young Men for all of their help that day.
