It wasn’t a warm and sunny August day, but it’s one that will certainly go down in the books as a day the community came together in the cold and rain to support a worthy cause.
August 24 marked the annual Yorkton and District Council of REALTORS
It was a day where generosity prevailed as all cash prizes that day were donated back to the event’s charity. Businesses and individual supporters showed their care and concern for the community making it a day no one will soon forget, said the YDCR.
“The Yorkton District Council of REALTORS® (YDCR) is so thankful for the local support and so humbled by the outpouring of backing by the local businesses and fellow golfers. To date, the YDCR Annual Charity Golf Tournament has donated more than $70,000 to charitable organizations in the community and we are already looking forward to next year’s event.”
The Soup Haven is a non-profit organization providing food to two of the schools for their hot lunch programs. Once a month The Soup Haven also coordinates a community dinner.
The YDCR wants to thank the golf tournament’s major sponsors, Farrell Agencies (with a $1000 sponsorship) and The Rock 98.5 FM (with a $500 sponsorship).
